The special companionship between a child and grandparent is vividly conveyed through Allen's economical, repetitive but rich prose and illustrations that are full of movement and expression.

 

This book was shortlisted for Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year: Early Childhood, 2007 . 

 

Pamela Allen was born in New Zealand and in 1977 moved to Sydney.
